There’s this organization called FreedomWorks, whose Chairman is trying-to-stay-relevant Dick Armey. They’re part of the Tea Party movement, which means they hate black people and aren’t smart enough to work a copy machine.
Well, they dealt what they’ve considered a damning blow to named-after-the-family-cat Mittens Romney by saying it was their goal to stop him from winning the Republican nomination for President. FreedomWorks’ Communications Director Adam Brandon – the guy they pay actually money to talk with the media and present the organization in a positive, intelligent manner – had this to say:
Romney has a record and we don’t really like it that much.
Powerful quote, no?
But just to be clear, you don’t like the fact that he has a record? Or you don’t like what that record is? And “don’t really like it” is something a seven-year-old says about eating his broccoli – not what a political movement says about a potential Presidential candidate they despise.
But I totally understand why Brandon is having a hard time expressing his feelings; he can’t use his normal abrasive, hate-filled rhetoric against Romney because Romney is … well … normal.
He’s white.
He’s rich.
You know. Normal.
So the Tea Party can’t cloak their bigotry and prejudice behind birth certificate issues and conspiracy theories and demands for fiscal responsibility. Instead, they have to tell it like it is; and in this case, what “it is” is something they “don’t really like.”
As for Romney, how did he take the news that he didn’t earn an endorsement from FreedomWorks?

“I don’t give a fuck.”
